MSFITS 2011 Spring Fling Event
The Public Service season is open again! Our first bike event this yea is the MSFits 2011 MS Spring Fling ride, originating at the Sam’s Club at Hwy 54 and I-540 in western Morrisville. (Don’t confuse this with the Harrison Ave. Sam’s Club.) Cue sheets and GPS files have been generated and are getting the final inspection (as of today, Sunday, March 20). Once approved, they will be emailed to current volunteers and will be posted at the link below. There will be two routes, a 50 mile route and a “SHORT” route of about 28 miles.
Password now required to access GPS files and cue sheets.
Since changes to the routes can be made anytime before the ride, event sponsors don’t want route data to be openly available to the public before the event. To address this, the web page with the GPS files and Cue Sheets now requires a password to access. If you are an event participant, but not one of our radio operators or event staff, please accept our thanks, but please don’t ask for access. The information is restricted to staff because it can change anytime and we don’t have the ability to track everyone that has these files or to notify them of changes, outside of our teams. Heck, we’re lucky to get the word out to our own people!
If you do email me for the password, all I will do is refer you to John or Larry unless you can do a really good job of convincing me that you really are a ham and on one of our teams! (Do I know you personally?)
If you are a ham radio volunteer (SAGs, MOTOrcycle riders, medical personnel, etc.) please contact John, AI4RT and request the password. You should know how to do this. (If not, I might be persuaded to give you his email address.)
If you are an event staffer, please contact Larry, the event coordinator.
Once you have the password, click on the link below and enter the password in the box.
