Events!

Look here for GPS files for events in Raleigh and Central North Carolina.  If I am working with the event, I will put any GPS route files that I develop here.

BTW, you might want to read the comments in reverse order.  The latest comments are at the bottom.

Update March 21, 2011 –

Two events on tap –

MSFits Spring Fling – Saturday, April 2 at Sam’s Club in Morrisville, NC, near Hwy 54 and I-540.

MS Walk Triangle at RBC – Saturday, April 9 at RBC Center in Raleigh.

Both events have pages on this site.  See the menu at the top of the page.  Other events will be added as needed.

Note – Some events prefer that the routes not be published prior to the event.  In those cases, I am setting password access to those pages as I post them.  If you need the password, you need to contact the ham volunteer event coordinator for that event for access.

Update March 9, 2010 –

As of early March, I am not yet working on anything for any public service events. If and when this changes, notice will be posted here.

I have noted at least one site that has linked to one of my old web pages, but that page was from last year and has been taken down. If you have any questions, leave a comment.

The next event will be the Annual BikeMS event in and around New Bern, North Carolina on Spetember 12 and 13. This year will have new routes, which are still being developed. Look for GPS files here in the next few weeks.

You can sign up to participate or to volunteer at the following web site:
    http://www.nationalmssociety.org/chapters/NCT/fundraising-events/bike-ms/index.aspx

If you are a ham and would like to volunteer, you can join the 73 Amateur Radio Support team. If you do plan to participate or volunteer, you can camp out at the convention center or book a hotel room. If you want a room, you should try to find one immediately! They’re probably booked for miles around!
