Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions for this site are simple.  Let common sense prevail.

  • Keep it civil!
If you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face in public, don’t say it here! This is a friendly site, I don’t support flame wars, personal attacks, illegal activity, or anything else of that ilk.  If you want to engage in personal attacks, take it somewhere else.
  • This is a Moderated Site!
Some people choose to ignore rule #1 and there are more than enough people out there that want to post spam.  For that reason, I approve or reject every comment before it is posted.  I will listen to dissenting opinions and will not reject them out of hand just because they differ.  I love a good debate – just as long as it’s a debate and not  an attack. (See rule 1).
  • NO SPAM! NO HACKERS!
I have zero tolerance for both!  The filters are turned on and they simply won’t be posted.  The software automagically catches almost all spam and I look at the rest.  If it looks like spam, it goes to the bit bucket forever.  That includes source IPs that have demonstrated spammer-like behavior, suspicious locations, or websites that are selling the same stuff that the spam emails are pushing.
  • Comments and Privacy
If you want to POST a comment, I believe you should attach your site nickname to it.
If you want to leave a comment just for me, but don’t want it posted, just say so in the comment.  I’ll read it, possibly act on it, but I won’t post it.  I believe in privacy.

About Registered Users:
After a time of operating this blog, I have found that spammers will, on occasion, register as a user. Actually, this seems to be more from hackers than users.  If someone registers and it looks like a spammer registration, I will delete the user. A good way to get deleted is to only enter your email address and user name with no other info (like a name or callsign).  If you are a legitimate user and you get deleted and you think I should keep you in the member list, send me an email and I’ll discuss it with you.  Otherwise, you’re banished to the bit-bucket forever!

I’ll add more as necessary. Just use some common sense, that’s all I ask.
